My Home Workspace
I thought I’d take a few minutes to show you what my home workstation looks like. I share a tiny one bedroom apartment with my girlfriend. With no study or second bedroom, space is at an absolute premium. My parents had suggested an old writing bureau or stereogram and just before my birthday we stumbled across one. It came from our favourite second hand furniture place in Yarraville, Cattanach’s. We’ve bought plenty of stuff from them before, as have friends and family. I think this is their eBay store.
But enough about that. Lauren bought it for my birthday and Dad spent a week restoring it and building the box that now sits over the turntable. It’s beautiful and best of all, Australian made. The chair is Tasmanian made and came off hard rubbish of all places. Dad knocked it apart, reglued it, and it’s as good as new.
When it’s not in use, everything folds away nicely with a solid scissor hinge. There’s also a storage area that houses the router and other gadgetry. The chair sits against the wall and you would have no idea what’s inside!

This is exactly what I mean when I talk about how much I would love to have a foldup desk for my own workspace. What a great idea.  Zoom

Minimal… envy. A fine looking compact workstation solution.
